Overview
The CUC Baseball Field has received three upgrades since 2012 and now stands as one of the best on-campus fields in the midwest.
The first upgrade was completed in early 2012 and was officially dedicated on April 15 of that year as the Cougars hosted a doubleheader versus Aurora University. The first round of upgrades included the installation of two permanent dugouts, permanent bleachers between the dugouts and a press box. A new backstop was also constructed using bricks from Chicago's historic Wrigley Field.
The second upgrade was completed in the fall of 2013. A new outfield fence was put in, stretching from eight feet high in straightaway left and right fields to 12 feet high from left-center to right-center. A third upgrade was made in the fall of 2018 when the infield surface was leveled and replaced.
The upgrades to the facility have served to increase the Cougars' home field advantage. Concordia owns a 71-7 record since the beginning of the 2013 season.
