Mountain Lion Field has been the home for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs women’s softball team since 1990, but the facility has seen major renovations since 2005. The Mountain Lions have taken over what was formerly known as the Four Diamonds Sports Complex, and Mountain Lion Field is the only remaining field from the original complex.
Mountain Lion Field features concrete block in ground dugouts, a new Daktronics scoreboard, a permanent 200 foot outfield fence, all synthetic turf infield and outfield, home/away batting cages and home/away bullpens.
Since the renovation in the Spring of 2005, Mountain Lion Field has been among the finest fastpitch-only facilities in the NCAA. The location, with a vista of Pikes Peak looming from behind third base and with majestic Pulpit Rock beyond center field, places it among the most picturesque venues in the nation. Mountain Lion Field is built upon university land, which was part of a large land donation by Dr. Virginia Tremblay. The field is located off of Eagle Rock Road on UCCS West Campus, adjacent to the UCCS ENT Center for the Arts.
